Project Overview

CorpusKey is a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform for any type of educator who prepares and grades assignments. The software creates course material and provides grading tools for university faculty through artificial intelligence (AI). By doing this, they empower educators to focus their time on innovating their classrooms rather than grading assignments. Using AI as a tool, CorpusKey is paving a new path in education that will benefit teachers and students.

In this project my team aimed to improve CorpusKey’s AI grading tool by refining the user flow, reducing confusion, and updating the prototypes that were constructed during previous semesters, specifically to be able to handle grading various assignments. Our focus is on enhancing rubric accuracy and editing features.

Timeline

January 2025 - May 2025

Project Retrospective

Researched previous semester projects to understand where our project could build on past insights

Ideated New User Flows

Sketched possible solutions to implement a grading rubric for different types of assignments

Led Meetings with Stakeholders

Communicated with sponsors in person to showcase ideas/ methods for feedback and open discussions

Created Mockups in Figma

Utilized wireframes to mock up a mid-fidelity prototype for further understanding of the user flow

My Contributions

Current Experience

Affordances:

  • Users can upload and generate learning material

  • Ability to use the Corpus to create structure for assignments and their content.

  • Divide courses into modules.

Limitations:

  • Lack of grading rubric and navigation

  • Cannot track student progress

  • Unable to utilize AI for rubric review and feedback on assignments

*Chase Bank app

How can we create an effective user flow that adds a grading feature?

To answer this question we conducted a literature review, user interviews, and created a user persona to walk us through the experience of college students when using a banking app.

Final Designs

Our solution consists of 3 different grading methods and how they would look on the CorpusKey platform. We create these screens as concepts for what corpus key would do during or after the grading process.
